About BuildQuotes

I built BuildQuotes after losing two clients in a month because I sent quotes too slowly. The first one went with someone else by the time I finished formatting a Word doc. The second one never got a quote at all — I kept telling myself I'd send it "later today" and then didn't.

The problem wasn't laziness. It was friction. Opening a template, updating every field manually, making sure the math was right, saving as PDF, attaching it — it took long enough that I'd put it off when I was busy. So I built a tool that makes it a 2-minute job.

What makes a good quote? Two things that most people forget: an expiry date, and a signature line. An expiry date creates urgency — open-ended quotes just sit in inboxes. A signature line clarifies that this is an agreement, not a suggestion. Both are built in here.

For developers, the BuildQuotes REST API lets you generate quotes programmatically. Useful if you're building a CRM, a client portal, or any tool where quotes need to be auto-generated from data you already have.

BuildQuotes is part of a small ecosystem of free tools for independent work: BuildInvoice, BuildChangeOrder, BuildPDF, and BuildCertificates. No account needed for any of them.
